Hi! Im having a problem when i try to install ipistudio. It installs all the files fine until it gets there where its showing the studio splash screen for the first time. At that point I get a windows error message that ipistudio has encountered a problem and has to close. I click ok and the whole process crashes out. Im installing on windows XP pro SP 3 and have most if not all the latest windows patches (optional and required) installed. Can anyone tell me if they have run into this problem? and if so, what is the solution? Thank you in advance for your time |

Ok, did a little experiementing. Found out that the install is completing fine - at the end of the install it attempts to run ipi studio. Its when I launch ipistudio that im getting this error. It also now gives me a .NET error box before it crashes, but the box flashes by so fast i dont know what the actual error is. Obviously the crash is being caused by something in .NET, so i tried unistalling and re-installing .net 3.5 - no success, it still crashes on launch |

ok, checked the event log and found the following error message: EventType clr20r3, P1 ipistudio.exe, P2 1.2.0.117, P3 4db6ccdc, P4 windowsbase, P5 3.0.0.0, P6 4bb2dcbb, P7 a7a, P8 18, P9 system.invalidoperationexception, P10 NIL. looked this up on microsoft support and found that this can occur with .NET 2.0 based applications on computers where you have both .NET 3.5 and security update MS-07040 installed. heres a link to the article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/948233 It says there is a hotfix for this issue, unfortunatly its not available for download yet. I guess maybe i just uninstall security update MS-07040 for now? |

hi! i have the same problem. did you find out how to fix this problem? upd: i see now what the problem is - in this topic i found an answer - iPiSystem does not work on Parallels virtual machine.. (http://ipisoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php? ... 86bd918a95) |

The problem can be caused by virtual machine. Another possible cause is incompatible graphics card (our software does not support Intel graphics). http://www.ipisoft.com/en/wiki/index.ph ... n_problems |
