Hi there,

ipi has it's default 3d model to track motion.

I am wondering that can we use our model instead of default ipi model?
So the data can be track on final model directly.

Thanks in advance.

Hello!

I'm new here but I think I can help with this as just finished testing this out myself.

Yes you can, what you want to do is use "Ctrl-T" or Import Target Character using one of the supported formats, you should see your custom rig/model standing next to the IPI actor, or on top of it if you have that option selected in the Export Tab menu.

Once you have imported the target you need to tell IPI Studio which source bone relates to your target models bone, you do this in the Export Tab section on the Upper right area of the program.

Then once you have tested to make sure your bone assignments are correct within the program you use the "Export animation..." button to export your custom rig back out again. The other exporter buttons _I believe_ will directly translate the IPI Rig into the specialized Rig as named, and will ignore any custom rig assignments.
