| Post subject: | Dropped Camera (Green/Black screen )SonyEYE ipiRecorder |
Hello all, I had some luck with the 4 camera setup but am eager to get the 6 camera setup happening for better solves. The problem I am having is with a dropped camera.. when I have the iPi Recorder in 320x240 the screen is green, when in 640x480 the screen is in black. The actually FPS is always lower then what I set. In that, if I have the FPS set at 40, then the actual FPS will be 38.. if I then drop the set FPS to 30, the actual FPS will be 28.. One strange thing is that if I unplug this camera (the 6th camera) then the 5th camera acts in the previously described manor (green/black screen). Hardware: My computer is just about a year old now from iBuyPower, with an nVidia GTX 580(560??) 2GB card, 8GB RAM. I do have 2 USB2 controllers.. and also have a 3 as I also have a USB3 controller. I have the cameras spread over my 3 banks of USB inputs. .. one bank of USB3 on the back, one bank of 6 USB2 inputs on the back, one bank of 2 USB2 inputs on the top/front. So at the moment I have 2 up front USB2, 3 in the back USB2, and 1 in the USB3 on the back. I doesn't matter which input I plug the last camera into front/top/back/USB3 it never comes in with any video.. the really really very annoying thing is that when I first started I got all the cameras coming in fine.. then the one camera froze and that was it. Another strange thing is that if I have a camera in the 2 available USB3 inputs on the back, both show green/no input on the screens. SO.. what do I do, how do I debug this. Short of changing the USB port, and changing the settings, I don't know what to do next. |
