| Post subject: | Should I wait for the update to buy? |
I am planning on purchasing this system after being very happy using it in demo. I notice there is a post about a large update in may. If I purchase the program before the update, I get the update free. My question is, will I need to pay more for the software if I wait until after the update is released? Or should I wait and be sure I have a license to the most up to date version? Thank you, Curio |

Hi If you make a purchase now, you are guaranteed to have a free upgrade to v2. Current prices for v1 licenses are lower than those for v2 (except for the Standard edition which price stays at the same level). So if you want to spend less money and your target edition is not Standard then you should buy before the v2 release. |

I was going to go for the basic license. It doesn't seem that different from the standard other then being able to use 2 less ps3 eyes. Is that going to change with the new update? If I have to pay more to use the new features it might put me beyond my budget for my projects. |

Sorry, in previous post I've confused an edition which stays at the same price. Indeed, it's Basic. So you may not worry about purchase date. Difference between editions in the number of supported cameras stays the same: 1 Kinect for Express, 1-2 Kinects or 3-4 PS Eyes for Basic, and 1-2 Kinects or 3-6 PS Eyes for Standard. |

Would you consider offering a pre-release discount for upgrading to 2.0 early? I'm eager to upgrade so just putting it out there. :) G. |

We do not currently plan any pre-release discounts for 2.0 |
