Hello everyone. Got a couple XBox360 Kinects to see if getting iPiSoft will help with an upcoming project. However, I am having problems even getting started: iPi Recorder sees whichever Kinect is plugged in as "Ready" (with power adapter inline), but the Setup tab shows only a black screen with 0 frames of recorded video. The green light on the front of the Kinect just blinks forever. I installed the Microsoft SDK downloaded through the installer package, restarted, still nothing. It's the same with both Kinects so it's got to be a driver or system issue right? My system: iMac Boot Camp Windows 7 x64 SP1 (fresh install), ATI Radeon 6750m HD, Quad 2.5ghz i5 I notice there was another user on this forum with my issue and my exact machine but restarting fixed it. Hasn't for me. Help! |

Can you test whether they are working on another computer? The sequence of connection may count - first, plug in power adapter, then USB cable. |

Yes, you've been helpful, and it's sorted now for one Kinect (have yet to try two at once). All I did was change one of my mice for another and it worked. Perhaps it was a bandwidth issue or a competing driver? Mysterious. It still only works on three of the four USB ports but that's obviously enough. |
