Hi all

Have just started with the free demo - although it seems like the software will be perfect for our small studio (3 of us and a dog).

But I am struggling to get started, I have done the calibration video but after that I run into problems:

1) I'm not sure if after I have recorded the video I need to convert it - if so when I try to open the file in converter the file type is not supported. The only option is 'Video files' and the ipi.video file is not recognised and then doesn't show up in the explorer window.

2) Similar top to the above when trying to import the calibration video (un-converted if indeed that it is what you do) there is no option to import anything other than ipi.mocap files into the mocap studio. I've watched all the tutorials I can find they show that on 'open' you get *avi *mpeg etc...but that's not the options I get.

I'm sure I'm missing something and its always the same when starting out with unfamiliar software so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Geoff

Hi, Geoff
Sorry, we have not updated our wiki documentation for v2 yet. But we are working on this currently. So there is some confusion between wiki and v2 of software.
1) You should not do any conversion when starting from iPi Recorder v2. Converter is intended for v1 users, who have their records in AVI format.
2) To open iPiVideo record in iPi Mocap Studio, you can simply drag'n'drop it, or use the New toolbar button, or File > New project menu item.
