please how can i make more than one or two or even six mocap at a time? I need to make an animation where a character is interacting with many people in a scene. Do all of them need to be on stage for ipi to capture their motions?

Currently, iPi Mocap supports tracking of only single actor. So you should shot motions for each of the interacting characters separately. By the end of this year we should issue an update with the support for tracking 2 actors in one video.

Here's are some tips for synchronizing multiple performances with the current software:

For 'Happy Box', we needed the three characters to interact with each other in the second to the last shot but all the motions had to be recorded separately. To keep the performances synchronized, we pre-recorded the audio track for the film and created an animatic which was referenced by the performer during capture. Some positional tweaking of the 'paws' was done in post but the timing of the three performances was perfectly synchronized in the original recordings.

If you video record your performances during motion recording, you can play back the video takes as timing reference for other 'characters' in the scene.

Both of these techniques are used to an even greater extent in the short film we're currently working on and it's working out very well for us. It's a music video but the same technique should work well for any choreographed multi-character performance (like fighting, for example.)

Hope this info helps.
