First time trying dual Kinects. Ran through the calibration setup. Loaded the file with the motion clip. Set TPose / Actor, but in my window scene, my Camera 1 & Camera 2 look stacked instead of at 90 degrees. What am I doing wrong? |

Hi, CManson wrote: First time trying dual Kinects. Ran through the calibration setup. Loaded the file with the motion clip. Were they stacked after you ran calibration and before you exported the calibrated scene data? Or did they somehow become stacked after you loaded the calibrated scene data into your project to start your tracking? Just trying to understand if the problem occured during calibration or during motion tracking. It kinda sounds like you didn't load your calibration scene into your project after you loaded your motion video but it's a bit unclear from what you wrote. G. |

Well, followed the procedure for dual Kinect. If you do the S from the Recorder on the motion clip, you are prompted for calibration file when it loads the clip. But without doing anything else, both cameras are stacked on top of each other in the scene. |

Hello, CManson Did you select the proper option between 30-90 and 100-180 degrees setup in the New Project wizard? Do the cameras stack also in the calibration project after making the calibration? Have you pressed the Calibrate based on 3D plane button? (I ask because the cameras are actually placed in the same place of the scene initially, before the calibration process is finished) What are the calibration statistics numbers shown in the Calibration after the calibration is finished? |

No clue what my original 90 degree setup issue was with the cameras looking stacked in the scene, but I decided to try the 180 degree and seems fine. |

CManson, Today I was having the opposite problem you're having. Here's more info: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=6729&p=13592#p13592 Look towards the bottom of the page. G. |

Ha, never know. Always something quirky. Went and picked up 2 more PS3 Eyes at Gamestop since they are $15 each now after seeing the post that 6 Eyes will be required for 2 person in hopefully May. Still thinking we won't be able to pull off very close interaction like dancing with 2 person from what I've seen. Really don't want to invest in gyro suits. |

Hey guys. I've been lurking for a good amount of time now but this is my first post :) My question is about calibrating two Kinects setup at 180 degrees... From my understanding, there is no longer an option to set the cameras to 180 degrees. Is that correct? I ask because the majority of time after calibration our Kinects are stacked vertically and not at the 180 degree position we have them setup.... I move the card board cut-out forward, back, right, left, up, down... (The only way I've sorted out the issues is to manually orbit the camera then run calibration but this is a pain and causes the actor to be far away from the camera :( Is there a way to still use the 180 degree manual setting? Any specific tricks to improve the camera location accuracy with two kinects? Thanks and I look forward to joining the iPiSoft community! Carlo |

carlo wrote: I move the card board cut-out forward, back, right, left, up, down... How much do you move the board? The movements range should be at least half meter. Also ensure that the board is good visible in both sensors simultaneously. Hold it by the middle of a side in the straightened arm away from your body. And keep oriented near vertical or horizontal. |
