Hi It appears you have confused the meaning of the word "flashlight". For calibration of PS Eye cameras you need a spot light source. See our wiki. |

Besides the large flashlight, I noticed that there is a bright light source visible in the background--you may want to turn that off or at least dim/cover it. The windows too--in general you want to avoid reflective surfaces because clear reflections can be read as conflicting motion. For the calibration light point, a single exposed LED will do. The Maglite shown in the Wiki with the cap off (candle mode) is ideal for most indoor situations. If you're shooting outdoors in a wide capture setting, a large white styrofoam or reflective mirror ball on a stick works well. The key is that the tracked point should be the brightest thing in the scene. G. |

IMO, for recording in a small space, you might consider using Kinect. It's one of the reasons we mainly use Kinect these days. G. |

Agree, in a setup as you showed, i would also use Kinnect. I even tried a ps3 setup with a room twice the size of your area, and couldn't get good tracking with that. So i only use the ps3 setup outside with plenty of space. And as already stated, make sure to use a small spotlight flashlight. |
