Hi everyone :)

I only got Ipisoft 2 this week (Express version) and am using a single xbox kinect.. REAL impressed with this software, love using it SO much :D

One thing I would like to see added (if not already there, or a known work around I have not yet found!) is the ability to be able to keyframe arms & legs that may be hidden behind another part of the body?

Let's say the arm briefly goes behind my back or my lower leg gets hidden by the upper part of my leg when bending down/squatting position. I would like to be able to add keyframes to the arms or legs until they become visible to the kinect again to the point when the kinect can continue to track the limbs motion with out the limb getting all mangled and out of join with wild rotations!

Being new and still going through all the documentation & youtube videos, sorry if I have missed a feature or solution that is already available :p

Hi

Currently, our software has keyframing capabilities for fingers only. For other body parts, you can manually edit the pose in each frame that cannot be tracked. There are tools like copy/paste the pose of selected bone and/or its children which make this process a bit easier.

When you encounter a "hidden limb" situation during tracking, I'd recommend you the following steps:
  • skip to a frame where limb is back visible
  • copy a pose from the last tracked frame
  • adjust the pose if it has changed considerably
  • hit "Refit Pose"
  • continue tracking
After all tracking is done, get back to untracked frames and do manual editing. See also the "Cleanup" section in our wiki:
