Post subject:  Does iPi support nVidia Tesla K20c?

I would like to know if iPi supports the nVidia Tesla K20c for cuda performance. I tried searching the forums and google but couldn't find any information on that.

I have a Dell T3600 64gb RAM nVidia Quadro K2000 paired with a Tesla K20c 5GB.

Thank you for your insight!

iPi Mocap Studio used DirectX 11 shaders, so any DirectX 11 capable card would fit. The difference is in performance. Gaming graphics usually perform better than workstation graphics. Anyway, you could download a trial and simply test on your PC.

I was able to test whether nVidia Tesla K20c was being utilized by iPi Mocap Studio -- Unfortunately, iPi Mocap Studio doesn't seem to use the extra cudas present in the Tesla card. As I processed mocap data, I saw that only the Quadro K2000 gpu was being used.

I'll have to use a different PC rig with a gaming card. The Quadro K2000 is too slow.

I googled about Tesla K20c GPU and it should support DirectX 11. But it seems that by default this support is not activated.
Please check this article on how to activate support for DirectX 11 (C++ AMP also requires DirectX 11 to operate).

Thank you vmaslov!

The article seems to imply that the Tesla K20 Active Accelerator does not support C++ AMP.

"The short answer is all Tesla cards, except for Tesla K20 Active Accelerator for workstation, supports C++ AMP."

I also ran this utility to see if my Tesla K20c supports C++ AMP:

Too bad my card wasn't listed... it only showed the Quadro K2000.

Nevertheless, did you try to change settings of your Tesla card with nvidia-smi utility as described in the article?
