Looking at getting 4 of the Quickcam 9000's for use with this software. Would they work ok? Or would you suggest something else? What is the benefit of using 4 instead of 2 or 3 cameras? Can you do to people motion capture? Donny |

Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 is great camera, we definitely recommend it. More cameras means higher quality and reliability but longer processing time. I would recommend to start with 3 camera setup, it should be good for many complex motions. Our software cannot capture motions of two people as of yet. |

It should work in WinXP 64bit. Logitech offers XP 64bit drivers for that camera: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/435/3 ... ,en?osid=1 I don't have XP 64bit operating system, but I can confirm that Quick Cam Pro 9000 works great in Vista 64bit and XP 32bit. I think it should have no problems in XP 64bit. Please keep in mind that you may need to use Logitech's "Help->Check for Updates" button to download latest drivers. Drivers offered for download at Logitech website should also be OK but the very latest drivers are available through "Check for Updates" button. |

Hi, I can confirm that the Logitech Quick Cam 9000 works well with iPi and Vista Ultimate on a 64-bit system. I'm using driver version 12.0.1280.0000. (FYI, it also works fine on an XP Pro 32-bit, the only other system I've tested with.) Greenlaw |

Wow, this is an old thread to dig up. :) As such, anybody reading this thread should be aware that the old Logitech Quickcam 9000 cameras are not recommended these days. The PS3 Eye is not only a better camera (faster framerate) and easier to use with iPi DMC, it's much cheaper. As for three vs. four, I would definitely go for four. It will not set you back that much extra ($30 for camera and maybe $15 for repeater cable,) and the quality of the capture data will be much higher. G. |
