Im getting 3 usb3.0 controllers installed on my pc for (6 x c922 cameras setup)
What kind of cable repeaters/active extenders do i need and which maximum length can I use?
Will 3.0 controllers support 2.0 extenders?
Can you give me an example of good cable/s with a length 10meters +-?

I'll have to check which cable I'm using and get back to you. I think they're Monoprice but not sure. I think the wiki has some cables listed that are known to work well.

Regarding using USB 2 cables with USB 3 controllers, it will work but it will also be much slower than using USB 3 cables so there's not much point in doing it. There's a lot of data being pushed around when capturing with iPi Recorder, and it needs to move as quickly and efficiently as possible.

In general, you want to prevent every potential bottlenecks.

Here's more info about USB 3 vs USB 2 cables:

https://www.howtogeek.com/222400/do-usb ... .0-cables/

Note that some USB 3 cables work better than others. The first set of USB 3 cables I purchase worked well for iPi Mocap Studio, but much later I bought additional cables by another brand and they were terribe. Before ordering your cables, be sure to read the buyer reviews.

Sorry, I forgot to check which cables I have at home. Will try to do that this evening.

I think this is the 'good' one I have:

Monoprice-15-Feet-Female-Active-Extension

I'll check at home tonight to be sure.

The key words to look for is 'active extension' or 'repeater' and 'USB 3.0'. Regular USB 3.0 cables will work but they have limited range and they can't be daisy-chained like 'active' USB cables.

Also be sure to check the rating and reviews.

C922 are USB 2.0 devices, so there is no need in USB 3.0 cables. USB 2.0 cables will work just fine with USB 3.0 ports, and provide much longer distance than USB 3.0.
The good ones we used
