We don't yet have D455 at our disposal. As soon as we do we'll evaluate the quality of its data. If we decide it's worthy we'll add its support to Recorder then.

I have been testing my Realsense d455 with the iPi Recorder. Using Intel's Realsense SDK, I am able to record color video at 1280x720 at 30 FPS (while recording depth information). But in iPi Recorder, I see no option to record at this resolution... the maximum color resolution available (at any available frame rate) is 848x480. is there any way to cofigure iPi Recorder to record color video at the camera's full available resolution?

Thanks!

Our software doesn't need high resolution for tracking. This is especially true for the color stream of depth cameras which is not used for tracking at all and is recorded for solely for the reference purpose.
That's why we limit both depth and color resolutions for Intel cameras to reasonable values.

Why do you need 720p resolution for color?

Thanks very much for the reply. I'm a scientist doing research using digital biomarkers of human behavior (gestures, facial expressions, language etc.). It would be ideal for my research to have a software solution that simultaneously captured high-resolution 2d color video as well as depth data - from multiple cameras, and along with audio recording. iPi Record appears to provide almost all of this - with the exception of the high-resolution 2d video capture. I use the 2d data to characterize facial expressions, and all of my research to date has involved at least 720p. Given that the d455 (and others like it) can deliver those data, it's too bad that it can't be captured along with the rest.

Thanks again for your reply!
