We replaced our Logitech cameras with Sony PS3 Eye cameras, and I can confirm this:
- The Logitech cameras work well enough but the PS3 Eye cameras are much easier to use. For example, with the Logitech cameras require manual adjustments to each camera through the control panels, whereas the PS3 Eyes are literally 'plug-and-play'.
-The PS3 cameras are capable of higher frame rate and resolution.
-The PS3 cameras are a LOT cheaper than the Logitech cameras.
The only drawback with the PS3 camera is that the base is not very stable. I had modify our cameras to be able to mount them to c-stands and tripods, but this wasn't difficult to do. I shot a 'how to' video for the mod which I'll post after I get around to editing it.
