Post subject:  Web Cam Calibration

Hello,

I am trying your software for motion capture.

I started with the calibration using the iPi Calibration Tool. I have two Logitech Quickcam Deluxe F/ Notebooks.

When I try to calibrate (using the pattern image), I get results only in one of the webcams (both are connected). But the other continues with the same configuration.

I read in this Forum about the calibration and you explain that with two equal cameras we only have to do the calibration ones. I do not know if I am doing something wrong or I am missing some steps of the process.

As I understood:
1. We have to calibrate the cameras with the pattern image, using the iPi Calibration Tool. (I am still in this step)
2. Then we have to record the calibration video, with a flashlight marker.
And then, what we have to do with the calibration video?

After that, I suppose we have to record the movements and then with the iPi Studio, fix the skeleton in the first frame of the video?

I am trying to find tutorials and help with clear description of the steps, but I did not find anything.

Thank you very much in advance.

Regards,

Lucia

iPi Calibration Tool is used for finding out Field of View of your cameras. Can you please tell us what Field of View you ended up with for your cameras?

Marker (flashlight) calibration is used for finding out relative camera positions in your multi-camera setup. You process multi-camera calibration video using iPi Studio.

We are working on video tutorials and will publish them soon.
