I have a problem with my web cam (microsoft VX-6000). The ipi recorder doesn't recognize it. What can i do?

Uninstall Microsoft's drivers for your webcam. After that, your webcam will work as a generic UVC camera (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB_video_device_class ). You'll still be able to use all image controls implemented by your camera hardware.

I uninstalled the driver but the program still has problem finding the camera.

What operating system do you use (and what service pack)?

windows 7 x64. I tried other cameras and i didn't have any problems.

After you uninstalled the driver, when you connect VX-6000 camera, do you see a message from operating system about successful installation of driver for camera? You should see such a message, informing you that generic USB camera driver was installed. Also, you should see the camera in Device Manager, with device name like "Generic USB camera".
