We successfully used 4 Logitech Communicate MP cameras with iPi Recorder without any problems. Field of view is approximately 74.5 degrees. Please note that there was a version of Logitech's driver software that didn't allow for manual control of exposure for more than 2 cameras connected at a time. There was an update that fixed this. Without this manual control, your frame rates can vary based on how bright/dark something is, so you definitely want to set up the software for manual control for all four cameras. |

hi lightdog. since you are using 4 cameras, can you post how good has your experience been so far capturing motion, personally I am working with 2 cameras, and I am somewhat chubby so, the results have not been ideal. so I would like to know how it's going for you with a 4 camera rig ! Thank you. |

Chuby, I will post sample videos this week, if my schedule permits. I am also planning some tutorials, since I have been playing around with DMC for some time now, and have gotten good results. |

I can select bigger size too with with Logitech's own video capture software. But iPi DMC only permit my video size up to 320 x 240, and get crash everytime I higher it up. But now I suspect the problem lie on the USB polling rate or other setting on the System Device. iwan |

Do you have .NET Framework 3.5 sp1 installed? If you don't, it may be the cause of the problem. You can install it from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=AB99342F-5D1A-413D-8319-81DA479AB0D7&displaylang=en. We are investigating this problem. So far we cannot reproduce it on any of our PCs. |

It's very funny. Suddenly I can use resolution on 640 x 480 on iPi Recorder. But now, everytime I go back to resolution 320 x 240, it always make the software crash! I investigate the USB transfer rate with USB performance analyzer. I think it happened because logitech quickcam driver sometimes makes the transfer rate for USB 2.0 peripheral unstable and become conflicting with iPi Recorder. I think it because their RightLight Technology will automatically compensate room with minimal lighting. For now, the safe way to use iPi Recorder is in the room with optimal day light from the windows because it will minimize the use of RightLight Technologywhich disturbing the USB transfer rate. We strongly recommend turning OFF the Logitech RightLight when recording for motion capture. |

Logitech communicate mp using RightLight1 Technology which doesn't have control parameter, so it cannot be set on or off. The on off parameter appear only in webcam with RightLight2 like QuickCam Pro 9000. iwan |
