Post subject:  Recorder problem on HP ProBook 4515s

Hi,
I have a problem involving three or more webcam on this notebook. He writes me that there are insufficient funds (Insufficient system resources exist to complete the Requested Service).
The notebook has 4GB of RAM and 2.3 GHz CPU. ((On the desktop PC it works.))

Webcams Creative Live! Socialize HD Cam

I attach screenshots.

The problem is described in the error message that you see.

Your cameras do not support the video mode you are trying to use (are you trying to use 640x480@30 frames per second?) The camera probably does not support 4:3 aspect ratio (the only aspect ratio supported by iPiRecorder at present).

Please note that we do not officially support Webcams Creative Live! Socialize HD Cam, so we cannot guaranty that it works. Recommended camera is Sony PlayStation 3 Eye.

I still think you can get it to work by uninstalling Creative camera drivers, so that camera works in UVC mode using Microsoft drivers.

But Creative cameras have sensors with very low sensitivity so it is probably better to exchange your cameras to Sony PlayStation 3 Eye anyway.

The problem is bandwidth. My laptop has USB ports are all connected to one USB root controller, so it does not work (two cameras have a maximum speed typically 480Mbits / s). On the PC USB ports are connected to multiple USB controllers, so there's no limit.

cheers
