I purchased two LogiTech 9000's (http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10093354&catid=24054) and set them up via my laptop. My laptop has a built in webcam so I am not sure how I'm supposed to make this software ignore that camera.

The iprecorder won't install. It just returns an error and points me towards a log file.

These cameras don't seem to be very fluid. They seem to lock up every few seconds and the video is not smooth at all. I'm going to be recording highspeed athletic motions (falls and tumbles, etc...) and I don't see how these web cams can keep up with that sort of movement. I need to try and capture this sort of movement;

Also, how much space is too much? I need at least a 10*10 space to do this sort of motion. These cameras seem to ignore everything that isn't 6 inches in front of them.

We definately need a step by step proceedure for making this work. What to download, what to install, what settings to use, etc...

I was able to record the calibration video with 3 logitech 9000 using a acer aspire one netbook with 1gb ram and a 1.6 ghz atom processor. XP32. I was able to get 30 fps by turning off auto focus and real light options. I had to turn the exposure slider down about half way on each camera.
I turned my laptop camera off via the device manager. Just disable it.You can enable it at anytime. My other laptop has two cameras that i can turn off in the bios. Or via function keys.
My netbook was not powerfull enough to do 3 cameras at 320x240 other than for calibration. So for the actual mocap I set it to 160x120 uncompressed. The cams are the best web cams i have ever seen. Seem to have plenty of distance. Make sure focus is set to max.
