I have looked at the other topic which offered a solution, the suggestion was to download kinect for windows sdk 1.6, it did not work.

I have tried unistalling the drivers several times, still no satisfaction.

I have two xbox kinects.
I have fitted a usb 3.0 on my motherboard.

Originally i try the new version of recorder with KFW 1.8, had the same problem.

I hope there is a solution.

Both have shown the same error, not at the same time. When I have changed the ports and started ipi recorder again.

I dont think so, because the error has shown for the usb 2.0 port, and the usb 3.0 port.

So the PrimeSense drivers for Kinect will work on the ver. 2.2.2.27 recorder? I shall try the download.

The prsvr driver works in the new recorder.
However there are some things that I could not find:
1) With two kinects (Xbox) the recorder only gives me the option of 640x480 res 30 frames, there is no 320x240 res with 60 frames.
2) Is there an option to use claibration as light on two kinects. This really applys to the latest studio, as when i used the light stick to make calibration, the studio did not work - not like the demo video I saw.

Apart from that all is working well.

Kinect does not support 60fps rate, and I think for a reason. PrimeSense Carmine and ASUS Xtion sensors do support 320x240@60fps mode. But it has very poor data quality and a bunch of other issues, so we've disabled it in iPi Recorder.

Calibration using the light marker is supported for dual Kinect configuration starting from iPi Mocap Studio v2.4.1.156. You simply choose the method of calibration when creating a calibration project. For the stable marker detection, its size in the color image should be relatively small, about a couple of dozens of pixels. See this article for details on using the light calibration for Kinects:

Looks like I'm having this same problem.

I've tried installing the 64-bit PrimeSense drivers for Kinect. These cause iPi Recorder to see my Kinects audio but no camera (for both cameras). I can uninstall the driver and the camera part of the kinect reappears.

Yes, I mentioned above, that it kills the video part of the kinect. iPi Recorder can not find the camera part of the kinect (but can find the audio) when this driver is installed.

Hi

Had you uninstalled Kinect SDK before trying PrimeSense drivers? If both drivers were installed that might be the cause of 'killing the video part'.

If only one of the sensors shows the error, consider replacing it. Kinect for Windows would be better choice.

Maybe your Kinect malfunctions. Have you got a chance to try another one?
