Hi saw this software few days ago,n planning to study how to use it.

Looking at getting a kinect but not sure if kinect 2 for xbox one can be use? Or i need to get the kinect for windows?

I dont even know if its the same.

Can anyone help me with this?

Kinect for XBOX One is not compatible with PCs, thus cannot be used. Microsoft is releasing Kinect 2 for Windows later this year.
Currently, Kinect 1 for Windows and Kinect for XBOX 360 can be used with our software. As well as ASUS Xtion and PrimeSense Carmine 1.08, but these latter models are hard to get now.

What do you mean by "ps3 sensor" - PS Eye camera or PS Move?
PS Eye cameras can be used INSTEAD of Kinect for doing motion capture, but you will need at least 3-4 of them for reliable results, and 6-8 for capturing complex motions.
PS Move controller can be used to accurately track rotations of head or hands (wrists). So, you can use 1-3 per actor depending on what you need to track.
