I'm unable to install the MS Kinect SDK v. 1.8. I keep getting the message "Setup Failed - Error 1920: Service 'Kinect Management' (KinectManagement) failed to start" despite installing as admin.

I'm running Windows 7. I've installed SDK v 1.0 without any difficulties. I've checked other forums and the problem seems to relate to either a bug where it registers a dependency on a package that failed to completely install or a .NET CRL checking problem (timeout or something else).

Has anybody else encountered this error?
