I did some tests with an GTX 970, with stock frequencies (1050/3050) and this is the results I got

8 PS eye cameras
head tracking enabled
shoulders tracked from video
high resolution pass

sustained maximum: 0.77 fps or 1.298 secs/frame

Now I wanted to see a bit about overclocking both the GPU clock and the memory clock. My theory was that iPi would benefit mostly from GPU clock rather than from the memory clock and this turned out to be the case. Overclocking the memory clock didn't help one bit, while overclocking the GPU clock helped a lot. At +250 Mhz overclock, that's a 23% increase of the GPU clock I got:

sustained maximum: 0.88 fps or 1.297 secs/frame (~13 % increase)

Hopefully I will do a test with a GTX 960, also in some SLI configurations and I will post the results.

Anyway, the conclusion is, if you want to buy a video card for iPi, try to get a model that has preferably the GPU clock as high as possible and as much room for overclocking as possible.

Just ordered an MSI GTX 750Ti Gaming OC

Got it, installed it and it was defective, wouldn't even open the login screen.

When I get the replacement, I will post the results for it also.

It has plenty of headroom for over-clocking above the factory OC, so I'll see.

Hope it's close to what the 960 performs at, I don't want or need to run 2 cards and 750 doesn't have SLI anyway.

Didn't I see something about needing to turn SLI off, for ipisoft processing?
Ah ... In the docs for multiple GPU's, it says to disable SLI/Crossfire.

Installed GTX 750Ti Gaming and performing very well.

1.06 sec/fr and .93 fr/sec using the factory OC, I am sure I can get a bit more if I boost the OC a bit, I will re-post the results if I do later.

I didn't think I would get that much increase.

I was expecting around 1.3 sec/fr .75 fr/sec

So card is a definite good upgrade.

Results overclocking core +200MHz, Power limit 100%, allowed me to break the 1 to 1 ratio.

Max speed just past 200 frames of a 420 frame video sustained at .95 sec/fr and 1.04 fr/sec.

These results are for my 4 camera set up, head tracking on, shoulders by video, very flex spine for a dance video, Hi-Res pass.

i5 3.7GHz with an SSD on Win 7 OS

Program crashed at +300MHz

With only the iPi Studio (1) running...

Ran a 55 sec. 3300 frame dance tracking with +200MHz OC and program after about 300 frames sustained a 1 s/f to 1 f/s tracking, all boxes checked, shoulders by video, VF

spine, Hi Res., so a bit slower the longer the ROI, but still much faster.

Running computer with other programs running I usually have open, speed dropped to 1.03 s/f @ .97 f/s, so very good results.

This same dance tracked with old card (Radeon 7770) would take about 1.5 hours.

Adjusted all Nvidia settings to run for performance.

JR runs at 5.5 f/s @ .17 s/f

CPU did run at 40% average now.

Tracking quality was about the same, but the speed increase was what I was after and this card achieved it easily.

For more cameras it would be expected to be a bit slower, but still a hardy result as stated in other posts.

MSI Nvidia 750Ti TF OC Gaming version, a little on the longer side, so case space matters or adjustments would need to be made if needed.

Good thing is it needs no external power supply and only consumes 60w, but runs at 120w performance.

I did have to update my BIOS version to accept it, if needed, call your motherboard manufacturer to get most recent version and how to install it.
