Hi everybody.

Thanks for helping me.
This download was the last try, i ve done before i went to home... i dont know if i note, that i need a empty background (without a t-pose).
But this can really be my mistake... :(.

The idea with a videoeditor is nice, but i don´t have any results of this day, so i can´t editing some scenes.

About the Camera mismatch... this is a really other problem for me since the update...

I start with build up the set. (first with 4 Cameras and 360 degree), then 4 with 170 degree than 3 cams ect...

Normally i use to calibrate the scene the options:

"Auto detect initial camera positions"
"Auto adjust camera FOV"

New are the option "reset" and the degrees (inverse) ect... i don´t know what they do ;).

I ´m sure i do many mistakes :).

So i begin again with lerning how to use the ipi Software.

I watch a calibration_video of Ian Chisholm on the ipi SupportPage. Is this a good idea to lern this?
The most problems i have with the foot tracking and the shouldertracking... if i use this, the legs and arms flipping around.

The cameras on my try-video are very strange... and i dont know why... what can i do to work with correct camerapositions?

A short Question to ipi: Exist a chance to number the cameras in the ipi software like the portnumbers from the USB? (Or manuell setting the numbers to the cameras? )

I´m open for help to lern the ipi Capturing. Next Year i ll start again to work for my Game. I hope at this time it will run!!! :).

Thank you all for helping me ! Nice Support

And anyone names David?

We processed your videos, please see results here:

http://www.ipisoft.com/feedback/radiac/ ... .scene.xml
http://www.ipisoft.com/feedback/radiac/ ... tion.MoCap
http://www.ipisoft.com/feedback/radiac/ ... _RAW.MoCap
http://www.ipisoft.com/feedback/radiac/ ... 12_RAW.bvh

You calibration video is good. You should not specify "Autodetect camera FOV" during calibration since you are using PSEye cameras. FOV for PSEye cameras is 75 degrees (and default in iPi Studio is also 75 degrees).

Since you do not have empty background in the beginning of your video, we had to move background region to the end of video. Actor moves in the end and we set background region to span several seconds (to calculate background from many frames). This works good enough to enable motion capture at the beginning of your video.

You can improve your results in your next video session by doing the following changes:
1) Do not forget to record a few seconds of empty background in the beginning of your videos.
2) Use higher framerate (recommended framerate is 60 FPS).
3) Use more cameras (4 cameras better then 3 cameras for complex motions).
4) Actor should be dressed in a bit more tight-fitting jeans or trousers. (In your video, actor was dressed in very loose fitting sports pants.)

Hi Michael,

thanks for processing my videos.
Normally i use 4 Cameras.
You said, that i should use 60 fps in the recorder. My problem is, that i only can use 30 fps.
I have a Nvidia gefroce GTX 275.
A Quadcore and 6 GB Ram...

How i can use the recorder and 4 cams with 60 fps??? (I use also special usb cable (active). But when i go over 30 fps, the cameras will go down.

Now, i watch the results.

Thanks for the support, i hope next session it runs.

Hi Michael,

i only can say... WOW...

This is a very good work. But i dont know what you do, for this result...
I know that you put the empty background to the end.

Can you told me, what the steps are, to become this result?
Did you work with many corrections? (after work)
Did you changce the camera positions manually?

I must lern more i see... i hope i become the sames results.

What we did:
1) Re-do calibration with FOV = 75 degrees.
2) Re-define ground points in your calibration video. (your choice of points did not work well - points were too close to being on the same line).
3) Adjust scene scale to a more realistic value (apparently, your cameras were placed at between 1 and 2 meters high).
4) Move background region to the end.
5) Process as usual ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEe-A1TJatU )

It seems like your system should be able to handle 60 fps. Are you recording to a second drive? If you're recording to your system drive, that may be the problem (unless it's an SSD). Also, it helps if your second drive is a fast one. (FYI, I'm using a 7200 SATA3 drive with it's own controller card, and it seems to work very well for four cameras at 60 fps.)

Another consideration: is it possible that the cameras aren't being distributed evenly among your USB controllers? Make sure you have no more than two cameras connected to each USB controller. I'm not sure how you can check this in Windows, so you may need to experiment by moving connections to different ports. When you do this, make sure to update the order of your Recorder windows. (To do this, just click-hold and drag them around.)

Thank you for the support, i try it again next time.

Now i´ve got only one Question about the 60 fps :).
@ Greenlaw, what resolution you are use? I become only 60 fps by 320 x 240 Res.

Normally i use 640 x 480.
At the moment my 4 cameras are on one distributor vor usb. (4 ports).
When i use the front and the back usb, it won´t run with 60 fps by a solution of 640 x480.

Thanks for answering :).

Okaay :).

I try it and it run with 58,82 FPS ;)

My problem was a wrong driver and the usb ports. Now i use 2 different Usb and it runs fine :).
I dont know, why 58,82 FPS. But its better then 30 FPS :).

Thanks for the Tipp.

I'm getting 60 fps with 640 x 480. I suspect that when I go to six cameras, unless I get a better computer or storage system, I may have to drop to 320 x 240 or less than 60 fps. We'll see. (I went ahead and ordered two additional cameras since I'm sure I'll be able to use them all eventually.)

Glad you finally got it to work. :)

I was originally puzzled by this number too, but after some quick research I learned that 58.82 is the same as 60 fps. It's like how 29.96 is generally considered 30 fps. The whole number is not accurate, but I guess it's easier the say.
