when i install ipi recorder my pc( win xp sp3) only see driver xbox nui motor ,not see xbox nui camera i sure plugged power adapter on kinect but when i install ipi recorder on other computer(win 7) i have same problem with win xp. i installed net framework3.5 sp1 but when i finished install ipi recorder , and open software ipi recorder not detect kinect (light on kinect alway on green), what wrong with me, please help me i use ipi ver 1.5.077 i did step by step follow website guide link wiki
1- i install netframework
2-i install ipi recoder(driver kinect)
3-plug kinect on pc
4-window only detect xbox nui motor
5-ipi not detect any camera
what problem please help me
psp camera plugged no problem ipi detect other camera no bug except kinect

i buy the kinect version japan what problem with this kinect ?i not sure when i restart the computer , win can not see kinect camera driver only detect kinect motor .

It looks like that you have used some drivers for Kinect before.

Could you please perform the following actions:
1. right click on "Kinect Camera" item in device manager and select "Uninstall" item in context menu, then click Ok
2. right click on "Kinect Motor" item in device manager and select "Uninstall" item in context menu, then click Ok
3. unplug Kinect from computer
4. using Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs uninstall all items, containing on of the words: OpenNI, PrimeSense, PrimeSensor, Kinect
5. reboot computer
6. run iPiRecorderSetup.exe and repeat installation process (see http://ipisoft.com/en/wiki/index.php?title=Quick_Start_Guide_with_MS_Kinect_Sensor)
7. plug Kinect to computer
