I have a license key for Basic however The license unlock Key say that my current key is Standard and when I want to export an animation I get a message that I am working in restricted trail format and can not export animations.

Is there somebody who knows from this problem an how to solve it?

I understand that you purchased a license for iPi Desktop Mocap. Did you purchase Basic or Standard Edition?

What exactly is not working?

I purchased a license for ipi Desktop Mocap Basic edition at the Daz website.

After installing the software and enter the license key and go to help/registration there is written that my current license is Standard but I bought the Basic.
Than I play a little with some options and go to File/Export animation, I get Action Denied (Sorry, you’re working with project in restricted trail format (*.MocapTrail) that does not allow to export animations)

Thanks for letting us know, we will investigate this issue. In the meanwhile, this should not affect your user experience as Standard includes all features of Basic. This may be an issue with our DAZ store page setup or improper discount configuration. We'll fix it.



This is normal. You are trying to export animation from a project file processed with Trail Version. You cannot process with Trial Version and then export animation with full version. This is an industry-standard approach for trial versions from other software vendors, too.

You should process your video files with full version. Then you'll have no problem exporting animations with full version.

If you have some specific *.MocapTrial project file that would take too much time to process again with full version, then you can send it to me by email and we'll export animation for you.

Is your situation similar to the one discussed above in this topics? That is, you have project made with the trial version of iPi Studio, and now cannot export animation from it in Standard edition. If so, follow the same instructions: either create new project with the same source video in Standard edition, or send us your *.MocapTrial project, and we will convert it to unrestricted *.Mocap project.


As I've suggested you in email, try to reinstall iPi Studio from scratch, removing current installation and running the latest installer downloaded from our website:
