Hey Guys,

Yes Michael, I try that already without any success, and actually I can't uninstall anything from Device Manager since I don't even get Prime Sense or Xbox there, very frustrating.
Now I bought a laptop yesterday, and I got everything installed perfectly, but the problem I get on this one is that ipi Studio starts freezed, with the character totally deformed, and when I close the application, the banner that shows every time the software starts stays on the screen even when the software is not running, I have to reboot my computer in order to get rid of that graphic.....Seems like this software is meant to be cursed to me...Lol!

What kind of graphics chip to do you have in your laptop? The mangled mesh is usually a sign of incompatible graphics chip/card or drivers. For example, my tablet PC has ATI Radeon HD for high performance and compatibility, and Intel Graphics for low power consumption when running on battery. Once I made the mistake of starting iPi DMC while on battery power and got the mangled mesh, but when I switched the display from Intel to ATI the mesh was fine. (I don't recommend running iPi DMC on battery by the way; it will probably run down your battery quickly.)

If you're laptop only has Intel, that may be a problem. FYI, Nvidia graphics works well too. (IMO, it's generally better than ATI.)

Thanks Greenlaw, you are right, my laptop has an Intel Graphics Media, so does that mean I wouldn't be able to run iPi on this one at all?....well, I can still go back to Fry's and exchange it :)

Sorry but it is technically impossible for us to make it work on Intel Graphics Media hardware due to Intel driver bugs. It is even very hard to just properly report the problem automatically from within iPiStudio as Intel drivers indicate support for certain DirectX features through DirectX API and then simply do not implement those features.

Intel graphics is painfully slow anyway.

If possible I would recommend that you exchange your laptop for a model with NVIDIA or ATI graphics.

Better yet, run iPiStudio on a desktop PC with a fast gaming-class video card, this should be MUCH faster then any laptop (and less expensive). (You can still record video on laptop for better portability and just use desktop for processing).

Yes, I totally agree with Michael. For iPi Studio, you should use a desktop with a good nvidia graphics card as a primary system. My desktop with a GTX 460 is significantly faster for iPi DMC than my tablet PC with ATI or my old laptop which has an nvidia card in it.

I use my tablet PC with iPi Studio only if I want to do a little tracking when I'm away from home, but I would not want to do a majority of my mocap tracking with it; it is just be too slow for processing long takes.

I do like to use my old laptop with the nvidia card for recording with the Kinect because it's very convenient, but I still do not process mocap on that computer; it's just too slow compared to the desktop's performance. (Note: I do not use the tablet PC for recording because there is no way to connect my eSATA RAID to this system like I can with the old laptop. So if you do get a laptop for mocap, make sure you can use fast storage with it, like an SSD or RAID.)

Guess what guys??....I went back to Fry's and returned Kinect, been there it occurred to me to give it a shot to the PSeye cameras option instead the Kninect which along with my Mac Pro had been a complete nightmare for me this last two weeks, I got 4 PSEye cameras, came back home, reinstalled ipi Recorder just to make sure the drivers where there, I plugged in one of the cameras and guess what??......."THE SAME DAMN MESSAGE"...noooooooooooo!!!!!....My computer shows the devise in Devise Manager but never finds the drivers, and when I try to do it manually still doesn't want to install them..., the wired thing is that all my other external USB devices on this Mac are working normally,....believe me I'm just about to give up :( what do you guys think??

Problem Solved!!.....Ok guys, I finally got it!!.....it was so simple, I just shot down my Mac, unplugged the power cable for a couple of minutes, plugged it back, turn on my desktop and "score" my usb ports are recognizing again everything!!....yeeeeessss, apparently it has to do with the mother board, and when you unplug your computer, the board "reboots" also because something can go wrong, this simple solution got me back in track!!!....here you can see where I got this idea from:

Thank you so much for your help guys!...now I can start playing around with ipi soft.
