How To make Machinima using kinect (Motion Capture Tutorial)

Hi guys

I make videos for machinima.com and I've been messing with the kinect recently and I thought I'd do a small peice on how the kinect can be used in a machinima Film pipeline. Hope this video helps bring more machinima makers in your direction.

Hey Im a Machinima.com Director and yea Im currently using the kinect with the Source Engine (Half-Life 2) its really good. Great demo tutorial but :) I kindof had an idea to submit a tutorial but I guess you beat me to it :)

Well i guess so, i shall make a tutorial after im finished my video project.

Looking forward to it, and I'll do the same here.

The animated Brudders movie project has been on hold for a couple of months because I'm just way, way too busy at work now. Thank goodness the project at work is wrapping next week and I'll be able to get back to finishing Brudders.

I hope to get some tutorials online shortly after that.

I have one comment: your video shows iPi Mocap footage starting from 0:53, but there is no description or caption to inform the viewer about this. So it is hard to understand when Brekel demonstration ends and iPi Mocap demonstration starts.

Unfortunatly Their is a few things that got missed out now that I look back on it.

Hope it still proves usefull though in creating more awareness of your software. Its really cool what you guys do.
