Hi Andrew,

Welcome back to the forums! I'm glad to hear you guys have been busy and will have some fun stuff to show soon.

Timing of your announcement is perfect. Right now I'm busy finishing our 'mini-movie' for Gothtober (due in a couple of weeks!) which was written around using a single Kinect, but I know I will want to use a dual Kinect system for our next little project RVJ. And then we go back to finishing Pooper and I'm sure the dual Kinect setup will help there too.

Looking forward to the next update! :)

G.

Hello everyone!
We are sorry for our silence...
Support of two Kinects is ready but we still have some minor tech issues.
We are going to publish appropriate update for iPi Studio and iPi Recorder in a few days.

Awesome! Working on a project at the moment but that's fine as I need to borrow another Kinect from a friend first. Would calibration be better for 100-180 degrees if the board was on a stick so that the actor is not occluding the board for the rear camera?

So, this means the Express version will not work with two Kinects. Correct?

Yes. We have discussion about it but decide to keep Express version as simple as possible.

Any plans for a limited-time special update price? It's currently $295 to update from Express to Basic.

May be...
Meanwhile you can send to us MoCapTrial project and we'll export the results for you. (With Express version you can track from 2 Kinects but you can't export).

There is no need in stick. You can just hold the board in the one strait arm. In this situation each sensor see its own side of the board. Thus there is no problems with occlusion in this case. The thing is that current version of calibration algorithm is not accurate enough for such arrangement.

We're working on the new version of calibration for 2 Kinects solution. But it'll take up to 4 weeks of development.

This would be a great time to run a sale price on Basic...
(said the man who has been waiting for the dual-Kinect version to be released before he purchased :-) )
