with no depth data...

You can try to update the drivers for Kinect:
http://www.ipisoft.com/en/wiki/index.php?title=Quick_Start_Guide_with_Dual_Kinects#Drivers_Update

Also use the latest version of iPi Studio to open video from the new iPi Recorder. It looks like that you used the previous version to open your video.

Yes. We see problems with depth data in this video.
MrBones, could you please try to turn off RGB recording:
  • in the "Camera Selector" dialog expand "Advanced Settings" box and check "Don't record RGB from Depth Sensors" option

Does it help?

I have a couple of questions about that panel:

Will disabling [Don't Record RGB...] speed up the data flow and reduce dropped frames? Is there any advantage to leaving it enabled?

Thanks in advance for any info.

G.

Yes. It's narrow required USB bandwidth.
But will not affect on the disk usage.

Current version of iPi Studio doesn't use RGB information for tracking. It uses RGB only for visualization needs as an additional reference for result animation. Thus it almost your decision to use it or not. May be we had to disable RGB streaming by default... Hope we'll able to overcome current problems with it.

@Andrew

Thanks for the instant response to my questions!

I'm setting up the the dual Kinect Sensors now. Hope my old laptop will support both. :)

Greenlaw,

When you are finished with your work, is it possible for you to upload a video for the dual kinect

Would really appreciate it if somebody would show their work with the dual kinects.

Thanks
