Calibration speed is dependent on two things: the length of the video and the speed of your graphics card.
My Calibration videos typically run about a minute and I'm able to get perfect results from it. Anything longer is probably not necessary. To see what my calibration videos look like, go here:
iPi Studio Calibration VideoI don't know what kind of graphics card you have in the laptop but, FYI, calibration for a 1 minute video on a quad core desktop using a GTX 460 takes 10 minutes or less, so if you can get access to something along those lines I would highly recommend it.
