Hello.

I have been playing with the calibration, and I was wondering if it could be easier, like for instance using a tennis ball, then we could select the tennis ball ( that is easy to see and distinguish in most environments ) then the program could track the tennis ball.

I am talking about this because of portability and to make it easier, right now I have to make my calibrations at night, and then I have to go and adjust the brightness and contrast to make it real dark ( because even some light makes the marker miss )

so if we think about that, and the fact that the system could be used with laptops or any other cameras, when someone wants to set up a scene in RL, specially outdoors, it would be very hard to set up the calibration as it is now, I know that this is intrinsic to the software right now and maybe it would mean a big change but since it's still beta, maybe it's the time to think about another way of calibrating.

A flashlight in candle mode is by far the best marker - clearly visible on camera in most cases. I don't see how tennis ball can be any better.

We were able to use flashlight for calibration outdoors in broad daylight. We will post some demo videos soon.

Do you use flashlight? If yes, then what model?

ok I am using a generic LED nothing fancy but it's very bright.

Are you talking about LED-based falshlight? Or is it something else?

1 ultra bright led, that I took out of a led flashlight, connected to 3v power source.

However today I managed to make it all work... the configuration so I am working on it, I have not tried it on daylight but at least at night it works, if you are interested on my led I can take a picture of it.
