Would it eventually be able to export animation for Shade12 as well as import Shade12 models? Or is Shade12 reverse compatible enough with other programs that iPi is compatible with.

Currently we have no plans to support Shade file formats. As I see, some editions of Shade are capable of importing/exporting COLLADA format, which is supported by iPi Mocap Studio. However, we have not tried it with Shade to say whether it is compatible enough. You can try it yourself with the trial version of our software.
