So now I am super sad the express chip usb controller that i order came to today and it doesnt work it had to many dropped frame like it didnt have enough power going to it ..even though it had a plug to the usb port for more power..I then learned that the usb contoller that i order seen herehttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005STWIQ2/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00 is not a bandwidth type conrtoller of it doenst have enough power to drive the Kinect..

2 questions

1.is there a way that i can install a new usb port into my laptop without change mother boards
(reason why is I have the same setup shown in the user guide[img]
2. How do i find out if a usb express controller capable of driving a bandwidth type device for what i have looked at they dont say

Is this picture of situation when you connect both Kinects to laptops's USB ports, or when one of them is connected to J-Tech card?
I suppose first, because J-Tech should display as not Intel USB controller, but some other's vendor controller. So can you attach a picture of second case, with power cord attached to J-Tech card? And good to switch Device Manager to the Devices By Connection view (menu View > Devices By Connection).

The 1st picture was just the just the normal plug in. This new picture is with the J-card plugged in but there is no Advance tab to click to check the BW so i dont know how much power is being used. I have the power cord plugged in for the J-card aswell. And it works but the new problem is that it loses frames after 10-20 seconds. It goes from 30 frames to 8-10 frames after, i have changed the video mode in the recorder 640*480 to 320*240 depth veiw only and it still drops and stays low frames with 8-10 drop frames. Left in that mode with no movement in the cameras view it still stays low and never goes back up..its it possible that the J-card is faulty because it seems lke its loseing power if the frames are dropping a few moments.

A shot of the Frame drop included

Maybe indeed some USB compatibility issue :(
What if you plug just one Kinect to J-Tech card, will it show the same low frame rate values?

Yes plugging 1 Kinect into the J-Tech card is just as bad frame rates drop faster by itself..the odd thing is when i plug in the J-Tech card there are three chimes two make the sound of a device being plugged in and the last makes the sound of a device being unplugged I am not sure why.

Maybe the card does not have a tight contact with the slot? So it may disconnect while you inserting it (triple chime), and this is also the cause of bandwidth problems?
You can also check whether the card works on good speed with some external USB drive if you have one.

We have one noname USB3 ExpressCard with NEC chipset. Works mostly well with Kinect, sometimes having little issues, very rarely getting BSOD. Does not work with ASUS Xtion (this is a compatibility issue with NEC chipset).
I think you could try some card with NEC or VIA (VLI) chipset, as those manufacturers established good reputation in USB chipset production. Not all card manufacturers specify which chipset is inside, but some do - just need to find one.

Just wanted to report back and say it now works I got a NEC chipset like you mentioned and it works alot better now.. it still drops frames the lowest was 25.6 but it holds strong long enough to get the action shot done..

Thank you so much for your help =)
