Does IPI have problems with 5 Sony Eye cameras? Because when I finish calibration. There is always two cameras that have perfect detection calibration and has the dotted line pattern while the other three cameras is all red and no green pattern. Is there something wrong? Its been two months since I last used IPI.

Hey

I thought only 4 or 6 PSeyes are supported but I could be totally wrong.

Could you post a screen shot of your calibration?

Oli

Has things changed since v1? because I remember reading that it can work with 1 to 6?

If it only works with 4 to 6 now then there should be a error message saying "Please use 4 or 6 cameras".

I will post screenshots tonight.

There's a bug!!!

It works now, I pressed Calibrate again and all is fine now.

Please check this out as it's a really frustrating bug.

Any number of cameras from 3 to 6 (and up to 8 experimentally) is supported.
Probably, automatic detection of initial camera positions works bad with 5 cameras. Was this checkbox checked when you first calibrated?
For large number of cameras it is usually better to uncheck auto detection and manually set approximate initial positions for cameras. You can use one of the standard full/half-circle configurations (maybe, as a start point) if it fits your situation.

Remember you need 4 USB controllers for that. And most probably you'll face with bandwidth issues. Those guys who experimented with 8 cams were able to record only 50fps.
