Hi , I just bought(or what it seems so far a waste of money) 2 ps3 move. my computer detects them , they even turn on when hit the ps buttom in the printers and devices window. in Ipi record , it ask me to connect via USB to pair it, so I connect it , then it asks me to disconnect the usb and press the PS button. so I do that and it starts to seeking for a bluetooth device. and just do that forever. although my pc detects the ps3 moves in 2 seconds, ipi record just stay seeking. please help , I feel like I bought 2 ps3 move for nothing.

Hi

What's your OS?
If it's Windows 8, this is already known bug. See also http://forum.ipisoft.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=6696 We are working to fix this.

If not, please provide the trace log from iPi Recorder after trying to pair. Go to menu tools > show trace and press SAVE TO FILE.

Hi vmaslov, Im using windows 7 64bits. the bbluetooth adapter detects the 2 ps3 move and they even light up so to speak in the devices and printers window, when hitting the ps button. they seem to be detected by ipi recorder too, but only until seeking bluetooth devices. it stays at that doing nothing but seeking, it doesn freeze or crash because I can go back to devices or press cancel or go to converter or whatever. it just doesnt pair the ps3 move

What BT adapter do you have - built-in or USB dongle? If USB, try to replug it before pairing or while you see the "Seeking for Blutooth devices" message.
Trace log may still be useful...

Again, please give us the trace log. It may provide us with some tips about this issue. See my first post for how to get it.

there you have a trace log. now it installs bluetooth HID again and again, and there is no continuos detection on ipi recorder and the bluetooth device itself

Hi guys, good news, for me at least, I already make both ps3 move to be paired and listed with ipi recorder. Already calibrated the bricks and it works like a charm. how did I make it work? have no idea. it starts to install drivers with windows update like crazy and then just when hit the ps buton in ipi recorder, it was recognize. so I think if you have a problemm, the problem would be windows update drivers installation for motion controllers. trying to solve that if you know how and then everything will work right.I think it would be a good idea that Ipi team just release ps3 driver controllers instead of waiting for windows update to install and recognize a ps3 move, cause can be problems. It would be the same as install kinect and ps3 cameras drivers when ionstalling ipi recorder for the first time. I mean when you install ipi recorder for the first time , it install ps3 cameras and kinects drivers so can be recognize by ipi recorder when plug this devices. adding drivers for ps3 move would be nice. thanks for your help . see you soon

Good to know you've gone through it :)
There is no special driver for PS Move, it works using the standard driver for game controllers included with the OS. Learning from your case, it may depend on driver's version or some other OS component. OK, now we have another recommendation for users in the same situation, if any. Thanks for sharing!

I have the same exact problem. I connect the PS move via cable and click the PS button and it looks like its connecting but the process never ends. I know its not the Bluetooth adapter because I had 2 (rocketfish and MSI) and i went a got a brand new one (Asus BT-211).

I started getting a lot of windows updates so i got my hopes up when i red this topic but windows keeps installing the same update over and over. i don't know why, every time is says the update was successful and every time he instals again.

Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on XP, Server 2003, Vista, Windows 7, Server 2008, Server 2008 R2 for x64 (KB2656351)
Installation date: ‎5/‎28/‎2013 5:19 PM
Installation status: Successful

I tried reading up on this but there is not much on the topic. I also tried with motion in joy and it seem to be paired (the red light is not flashing) but ipi doesn't see it.
I'm using windows 7 and ipi recorder v2.1.6.23. I'm going to add a copy of the trace log and if anyone could point me in the right direction i would be very grateful.
