Hi there, in trying to rotate bones, I am finding that sometimes the rotation gizmo wont let me rotate forearms very much, it almost seems like its intended to have restricted rotation for realistic arm reach reasons, other times it feels like its far too restrictive to be intentional, and more like a bug.

What are peoples experiences with rotating forearms?

Thanks
AaronC

Forearm rotation amplitude correspond to human arm normal behavior.
this issue come very often but it's due to Shoulder twisting on X axis, not Forearm.

Sipson is correct--rotate the shoulder using FK, correct the forearm, click Refit Pose, then track backwards through the error. This usually works.

If you still have trouble, you may need more frames with the adjusted shoulder rotation. Try copying the pose for the arm (select the shoulder and then choose Copy Bone with Descendents, and go to the preceding frame, paste and hit Refit Pose. You may want to do this for a few more frames depending on the duration of the error.

At some point, try Track Backwards again to smooth things out. Remember to save a copy first--if tracking backwards makes things worse, you can revert to the saved 'good' version.
