The rotation limitations between the hand and the arm bone don't allow a perfect
transfer of the motion controller data, so I'm unable to proceed with the tests.
Anyway the motion controller attached to the forearm works fine.
I'll test with the leg tomorrow.

If you attach your motion controller to the forearm, if I understand correctly, you are somehow able to get the forearm twisting (and wrist twisting, since they are connected) movement. But if you bend your wrist, this movement is lost, no? Is the forearm the best place for the motion controller?

Are you able to say if these captors really bring extra realism for ipisoft users?

Currently we are at evaluation stage, so have not purchased and tested any sensors. Just making a guess, these sensors may bring additional accuracy compared to PS Move because probably they are based on more modern (and accurate) hardware solution. But the main point is they are much more comfortable to wear.

Actually, there is a plenty of wireless 9-axis sensor models out there, but only few of them are available off-the-shelf, with public prices. We will continue searching. Maybe we will even think about making own hardware solution (this is just a speculation at the moment, no actual plans on this, so do not request any details).

Hi!

Did you have time to do some investigations in the domain of sensors for ipisoft? Have you found anything since january?

Hi
We are working on the subject. However, we are not able to share any details on this yet.

Any chance we can somehow "merge" the data from ipisoft and from the cheap PrioVR?

We are watching on this project too, but it's early to discuss its usage in our software at this stage.
