This might sound strange but how about playing the music at a slower BPM to allow the Move devices to keep up the pace? After tracking, you could then speed up the performance to the normal BPM in whatever animation program your editing in. The physics will probably look fine if the BPM wasn't slowed down too much, and the capture quality should be more precise. This technique should at least reduce the errors, which would be far more distracting than the slightly sped up movements.

Just a thought.

That's too bad. Was it because of the longer duration?

Wow, that's weird. Are you saying the controller's captured motion was temporally offset from the body's motion? Sounds like a latency issue, though I haven't run into that myself yet.

I suspected that I was having a slight latency issue with my previous bluetooth adapter too, though nowhere near as bad was the one described by eyepies. Since this device was pretty cheap ($13) I thought I'd give it a try. I ordered one from Amazon Friday afternoon and expected it to arrive Tuesday or Wednesday. To my surprise, it arrived Saturday morning! I must have gotten lucky and they shipped from a local vendor.

Anyway, the drivers took forever to install but it appears it was worth getting. In my first test, the accuracy seems better than it was before. I'll know for certain after shooting the next batch of motions for our short later today.

vmaslov, thanks for the suggestion! :)
