I have a single GTX 680 yet Mocap Studio says that I have two GPU's detected. It seems to work fine whether I choose one or two but I certainly don't have two GPU's in this desktop machine, there's no onboard graphics on the motherboard so why is it suggesting two?

The other suggestion that I have is that while it's fine offering me a choice to use one or two, say that I really did have two, if i'm going to have the option to choose, it might be better if I had the choice of precisely which one i'm going to use. Otherwise, it could use a slower one than intended, if for some reason someone had multiple GPU's of different types or had different render jobs on a different GPU.

I was wondering about this too. I have a GTX 460 card and when I installed the latest update, the option to choose one or two GPUs came up. I chose two just because I had the option to do so. iPi Mocap Studio seems to run fine with this option but I don't know if it makes any difference in performance because, as far as I know, my particular GTX 460 has only one GPU.

Thanks for reporting. We'll make some improvements in this area till the next release.

Can I take it from this that it doesn't detect the number of GPU's, always supports a maximum of two and just offers a dialog regardless?
(Not that I care, i've only got one anyway but that's what it looks like to me) :)

No, you can't. We are not so careless :) But the GPU number detection is not perfect now (going to the technical details, we just rely upon the number of adapters reported by XNA). FYI, the supported numbers include 1, 2 and 4.

Are you sure you do not have any integrated GPU (most modern CPUs do have one)? Anyway, if you know that you only have one suitable GPU for processing, then select 1 in dialog for sure, and check to not display the dialog anymore to stop bother.

I think we could extend this dialog with the list of adapters so you are aware of what is detected and what you are choosing.

Well the CPU is a i7-3930K which as far as I know has no onboard graphics, the only other GPU is my GTX 680, nothing on the motherboard.

Definitely a glitch then :)

Just to be clear, there exists a model of the GTX 460 that does have two GPUs--but the model I have is old and I'm pretty sure that it only has one. I'll set my option back to 1 then.

It's not a big concern, I was just curious.

Another question for you, guys: how many displays are connected to your video card?

Yes also two displays, I did wonder if that might do it. I'll try disconnecting one and running DMC and see what happens.
