Hi,
Windows 7, latest updates, running latest MoCap Studio trial crashes on launch (won't start). Recorder working fine. Crash dialog text below.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling MoCap Studio and same crash. Suggestions?

Cheers,
Brett

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

From your other posts (about calibration) I see that you launched Mocap Studio previously.
Was that on another PC, or Mocap Studio stopped working on the same PC suddenly? Have you made any changes to your PC hardware/software configuration recently?

When I was running the calibration evaluation, I saw it takes a long time. I have another Mac Mini with a Windows 7 bootcamp partition so I installed the trial on that so I can use my laptop while it ran.

But the software won't boot and dies on launch on the Mac Mini running Windows 7.

What's the graphics card on Mac Mini? Have you installed the latest drivers for it?

Yes, I wiped the whole machine and installed Windows 7, installed all the updates, and then Studio. Nothing else on the machine.

The graphic card isn't great. I'm not at the machine now, but Google search on the model says it's a NVIDIA GeForce 320M.

Can you please run GPU-z and CPU-z on your Mac Mini to detect exact version of your CPU and video card:

http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/

http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

One possible explanation is that you have a Mac Mini with Intel CPU with iPi-incompatible integrated graphics and additional compatible Nvidia GPU, and your computer automatically switches to integrated graphics when running iPi Mocap. Switching to Nvidia GPU may help, but it is not clear how to do this on Mac Mini (Nvidia offers tools to switch GPUs on notebooks, but not on Mac Mini).

Thanks for your help.

Below is the screenshot I took from GPU-Z showing the popup menu open and only one graphics chip. The Mac Mini I'm using doesn't have an integrated GPU too.

My Mac Mini specs:

Please try launching Mocap Studio several (5-10) times in a row to check whether this error is stable or occasional.

10 times launched, 10 times crash. I did force install the latest nVidia drivers from last week and now at least the app is visible in the background (but is starting up still).

From the screenshot I see that the diagnostic text for error is a bit different from what you've put in the first post. Can you post the new text here?
