Hi, I am trying to run IPI recorder however ho idea why It crashes every single time I try to open it, running on XP SP3 with NET 3.5 SP1, there's no real message except for a a debug trace stack, however I have been able to record 1 camera with another software I have, but I want to try out with 2-3 cameras ( I have them here so why not )

since ipi-recorder is really not working, can I just use 2 programs and record the sources, however reading around it seems that the images in IPIrecorder do not have a standard format, ( maybe I am wrong ) I understand that they save both images on a linear fasion ( img1, img2, img3 , img1,img2,im3 etc )

now since I can't make ipi recorder work, is there any option to record from 2 cameras ? or if I have 2 video files separated can I multiplex them or something so IPI can use them ?

Thanks !

It would help us to debug this problem if you could post here the stack trace from crash.
Also, I need to know your camera model.

Unfortunately I do not know any alternatives for synchronized multi-camera recording. If you know any alternatives, please share your knowledge.

well there are programs that can record from different sources at the same time, however either I do not understand the IPI studio, or I am mistaken.

my question is, can I load 2 different video files at the same time on IPI studio, because when I open the first video file, and I try to open the second it does not allows me to open it, that's why I was under the impression that you have a format where you combine the 2-3-4 images together, if that's the case, then there's not much I can do about it.

however, if I can load 2,3,4 videos, then I could try using other programs that allow to record at the same time from different sources.

can you please explain me if it is case #2 how do I load video from 2 different video files on ipi studio ?

There is no way to load two or more video files in current version of iPi Studio. It only works with single multi-view video file (all views side-by-side).

I had exactly the same problem. (two video cameras - logitech and creative). Additional Creative software possibly made this. Not drivers itself. After fresh install, without additional software, iprecorder starts to work.

Latest version (1.0.1.30 beta) of iPi Recorder should fix this problem.
