Please test Kinect Studio and sample applications included with Kinect Developer Toolkit.

Hi, sorry for late reply, but I have been away. I tested sample applications and some trials of other body/facial mocap software for windows with my setup. In all of the cases result was the same. Kinects works with direct connection, but don't give any video when connect trough extension lead.

Hi again
This time I was away :)
I still recommend you to try another extension cable. Maybe your cables work with one controller (on Win XP machine), but do not work with the other.

Hi, I hope you had good rest. I know I had :)

We will get a new PC in studio some time in near future. I will try to use cables I have with this new machine and I will report back. It will be on windows 7 or 8. I didn't decide just yet. If I will be able to put my hands on a new cable I will let you know.

Thank you for all your assistance, it is much appreciated :)

I bought this cable, but I still get black screen on my iMac (win7 bootcamp). It works fine on a PC with Windows XP.

It must be something with the iMac/bootcamp. Too bad, as I will need to wait for new PC another couple of months.

It's a pity :(
What else you can do is to try the PrimeSense drivers for Kinect. Download them from our website:
http://files.ipisoft.com/drivers/KinectPsdrv3_iPi-x64.msi
You should uninstall Kinect SDK before installing these drivers.

Thank you for this advice. I will post results as soon as I will be able to try it out.
