I see you have released this - this is EXTREMELY exciting to me! :)

Does ipi 2.x with biomechanics offer frame rates of 120-180 FPS? The CL-eye drivers support 180+ FPS. I am using it for sport and need EXTREMELY fast frame rates but not necessarily great resolution. 60 FPS is too slow.

Please let me know, if you can do at least 120 (and preferred 180) then I will buy ASAP. Thank you!

No, there's still no support of greater FPS for PS Eyes, and it's not planned.

Darn :(

60 FPS is simply way too slow for most sports applications. Almost all labs shoot at 120 Hz or higher.

Do you support other cameras at higher frame rates?

Do you have any suggestions on broadly available streaming camera with such a high FPS?
If you are talking about specialized "PRO" cameras with the price tag of $ thousands, then we don't consider the support of such products. Our software is targeted for a wide range of users, and few of our customers can afford such expenses on the hardware.

There are already many consumer digital cameras ($ few hundreds) which are capable of recording at 640x480@120+. Using such cameras may be a viable option to get high FPS recordings at a reasonable price. However, this requires a big development effort from us to deal with combined offline recordings. We may consider this option for the future versions.

How about the PS4 cameras when the drivers are released for Windows? It does 640x400 at 120 FPS.

I believe the issue is that at 120 fps, the PS Eye data becomes too grainy to be usable.

PS4 cams are specifically designed to not be connected to a PC. They have a proprietary connector incompatible with USB (though derived from USB 3.0).
There's ongoing work of enthusiasts to make the camera usable on a PC (currently, in Linux-compatible OS's), but no stable results yet. Hope this work continues.
