Hi, just got software and tried some testing. I finished calibration and save it as mocap file, but I cant open it in for tracking process. It's asking for .scene.xml, can't figure it out what's wrong. Any help?
Also, is there any option for choosing which axes is up?

Thanks

Once done with calibration, you should save results as a scene file. Go to tab "Scene" and press button "Save scene".
When creating an action project, provide this scene file.

Up axis cannot be changed - it's always Y. However, you can change the origin and rotation around Y axis. Press button "Recenter coordinate system on character" on the "Scene" tab - and origin moves to character location, X points to character's left, Z - to character's front.

Hi, thanks for answering, now it s working.
But have new issue. After calibrating video all cameras are moved and rotated, so it's no possible to place skin model to fit to them all.
We are trying to make small studio in the office, so not sure how sensitive iPi is.
Do we have to cover windows, can that be an issue? Also do we need really height lighting for contrast, or some basic room lighting can do the job?
Can that be a cause of this problem with calibration?

Thanks

Most probably, the calibration went wrong, and you've got invalid camera positions as result.
I suppose you try with PS Eye configuration. For good calibration, the most important thing is that the light marker is visible to ALL cameras most of the time during a calibration shoot.
Regarding lighting. You don't necessarily need any special lighting equipment.
For calibration purposes it is good to have dim lighting, so the light marker is the brightest object.
For action shooting, general requirements to environment/actor are:
  • reasonably bright lighting, so colors are well distinguished
  • no directional lighting to avoid harsh shadows
  • actor's clothes substantially differs in color from surroundings
  • actor's arms have other color than his torso (T-shirt over long sleeves is preferred clothes)
Windows are usually a source of directional lighting, especially on sunny days. So better to cover them if the room lighting is sufficient.
