As the title says, I'm unable to open Mocap Studio v3. It pops up in my task manager for a few seconds and then disappears. I've tried rebooting before and after installation, repairing the installation, uninstalling/reinstalling, uninstalling v2, running as administrator, allowing full control in security permissions, and running in compatibility mode. The recorder opens and runs perfectly.

My specs are:
Windows 8.1 pro 64bit
i7 3930K 3.2 Ghz 6 core processor
asus p9x79 le motherboard
48 gb ram ddr3 1600 mhz
gtx 780ti
1 tb ssd for system - where Mocap Studio and Recorder are installed
No overclocking on anything

Though looking through earlier boards, it seems indeed software related issue.

I got it running on a low end intel dual core laptop, 4gb ram, win 7 sp1
but have not been able to launch at all on core i7 4770k, 16gb ram, nvidia gtx 660, win 7 sp2

Updated latest Nvidia drivers, updated to framework 4.5.2,

will try installing xna 4.0

• In Windows File Explorer paste the following string
  Code:
  %ProgramFiles(x86)%\iPiSoft\iPi Mocap Studio 3
  to path line and press Enter
• Right click on file iPiMocapStuido (with "S" icon and file type = "Application") and choose "Properties" menu item in the context menu
• Switch to "Digital Signature" tab
• Make screenshot
• Share it with us

I realize that I want too much :) But can I ask you to assist with debugging of this issue:

• we'll develop small diagnostic application (exe file)
• and we'll send it to you
• and you'll run it and send screenshot of this program output

This is safe small tool. No hacking tricks. Just some additional info which should help us to understand an issue you have.
Is it possible?
(If yes, we'll prepare this tool in a couple of hours)

I don't have iPiMocapStudio3.log anywhere on my computer. I have the installation log, and I noticed that when it tries to open it makes a #.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml and some of the time also makes a #.tmp.appcompat.txt and #.tmp.hmp in the temp folder; the #'s are different strings every time and start with WER and all of the files disappear when Mocap Studio 3 disappears from the task manager. I was able to save the txt and xml before they disappeared, so I have that data. And I would be happy to help with the debugging.
