Hi,

today I've tried the "Distributed Recording" - feature and I really love it. Unfortunately I had some trouble with the automatically downloading and merging feature. After I stop the record, an error occur and downloading data from slave was failed. I used the tace log (on master and slave) to locate the issue. On slave I ve found the hint that the socket could not created. After some research I've found the reason, the port "31416" was already in use by another application.
My workaround was to change the port of the other application that already use the port and have some trouble with it (but that's another story).

So my request is: Please make a option to change the defaultport from "31416" to a customport or at least, make a hint in documentation that this port is used and should be shared in firewall.

Thank you, for your great software!
Greetings DfoG

Hi

Thanks for reporting. We underestimated a risk of TCP port conflicts. Sorry for this inconvenience.
We plan to implement an automatic selection of unused ports for the next update of Recorder.

I've also added a couple of notes to the wiki:
