I was referring to the loading of the drivers form the DS3 Tool to the BT 211 for 3.0 compatibility, when I had it plugged into the front 3.0 port and Kv2 initialized I had issues, if I remember correctly, I think I posted the issue before when I was trying to pair the Moves in Win 10.

This is the quote I posted in another topic we were talking in:

"By the way... watch having anything plugged into another USB 3.0 port that is drawing power (being used) it could cause camera freezes.

I had to plug my ASUS BT211 into where my mouse was plugged for it to work properly or Moves would lock up and camera would freeze.

I could plug my wired mouse into a USB 3.0 port and that is drawing power, but the BT adapter caused issues, which I thought was a USB 3.0 compatible device, but troubleshooting said plug it into a USB 2.0 port, switched ports and everything worked fine."

I can't see why it would be different for others, but stranger things have happened, but if you got them to load properly from a 3.0 port, that's all that's needed.

Quick update. I only had a few minutes to test this morning but here's what I found:

The Windows 10 Bluetooth driver did indeed return after the major Windows 10 update (version 1115 I think). The PS Move Controllers were still paired and connected in the Bluetooth panel but they were not available to iPi Recorder.

It was only after I ran the DS3 tool and reloaded the MiJ driver for the USB adapter that the Move Controllers re-appeared to iPi Recorder. I did not need to reload drivers for the Move Controllers or re-pair them.

I didn't have time to check if the MiJ driver reload persists after reboot. My guess is that I need to permanently install the drivers, which I think is an option in the tool. I haven't decided if I want to actually do that yet--probably not. I also need to check on the Better DS3 Tool to see what its options are. It's no biggie but I just want to simplify this as much as possible.

I'll post info tonight when I have time to check things more thoroughly.

The MiJ drivers stay installed and the Moves that are paired stay paired, just like in Win 7, only would need to re-install them if for some reason it lost pairing, only difference I saw was that there was no longer a Blue Tooth device listing, it changed for me to an xbox 360 peripherals in the device manager as I stated before, but I didn't ever load the CD drivers for the BT211.

This should appear the same and everything run the same as it did for me, or anyone else attempting this procedure on Win 10.

But that's what I've been saying--Blue Tooth device listing has returned after the recent 1115 update, and the MiJ drivers needed to be reloaded for iPi Recorder. I never installed the CD drivers either, so I'm guessing Windows 10 defaulted to its native BT driver. I'm just providing this info for other users seeing the same behavior.

Hopefully, all will be back to normal tonight.

Does this main machine come factory bluetooth enabled? Then the upgrade would have just carried them over yes, I am pretty sure your mini comp would have BT.

I guess after a Windows update they would return if the machine is BT enabled, mine isn't, but if they were still on that dongle from prior use and you haven't successfully loaded the MiJ drivers yet, you had to load them for use on a Win 7 OS off the CD, correct?

So, maybe if it is this way, you will retain the Blue Tooth listing in your device managers listings and it won't actually remove it.

I did load the CD drivers for the BT211 when I first tried this, but when I did the DS3 Tool, it removed the Blue Tooth listing in the device manager and those drivers went with it, replaced by the xbox 360 peripherals listing and the MiJ drivers inside that.

Then, I actually uninstalled all drivers and reloaded only the MiJ drivers this last time.

That dongle is now only specifically loaded for the Moves and can no longer be used as a standard Blue Tooth dongle, I believe, although I haven't tried to pair anything else to it.

Once you get everything working, post if it did the same for you.

Okay thanks. I think you're correct--the BT driver must be a leftover from the old Windows 7 install, and I must have used an Asus BT driver installer because I don't think Win 7 ever had a native BT driver.

Still, it's interesting that the Windows update defaulted to the Asus driver. I'm guessing if I explicitly remove it, Windows 10 may default to the MiJ driver. Will let you know how it goes.

Ok thx, it will work one way or the other I am sure, just takes working through it until there :)

Though it seems to me when I switched ports, I didn't have to reload the drivers on the dongle, they stayed, but I did have to reload them to each Move and then re-pair them possibly, and now that I think more, I did load all the drivers with the DS3 Tool from my front USB 3.0 port this last time when I added the extension cable, since the PS Eyes are 2.0 devices, but all plugged into 3.0 ports, but I believe I plugged the patch cable to the Moves into a 2.0 port to re-pair them, and all is still well.

BTW... is this the update you were talking about that seemed to take forever? • Upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, version 1511, 10586.

I just checked for updates and this was in there to download and is doing it now.

Well, I guess that update was their SP1 shot.

It did mess up some of my settings, but I thought it would, so have to go through and make sure everything is the way I want it again, smh.

Looks like added some new looking system icons also.

That was the update you mentioned, acted like a reinstall of Win 10.

Yeah. It took forever for the three computers I let it run on the other evening. Tonight I'm letting it run on three more computers.

BTW, the Move Controllers and BT adapter loaded automatically in Recorder tonight. I guess the MiJ drivers are sticking after this morning's reload using the DS3 Tool--I didn't even have to remove the original drivers. The Bluetooth icon is gone too, so it's all back to normal now.
