Greenlaw, This may have always worked this way, I am not sure, I always left USB adapter plugged into the same port, but...
I was testing my Moves connections after disconnected from the initial 3.0 port the MiJ drivers were loaded on and moves paired to, and found that when I unplugged the dongle cord from that specific port and plugged it into another, (I was using 3.0 port on my front panel for this test, which are just an extension from the Same motherboard USB controller), I found that on the second 3.0 port, Windows reverted back to the Win 10 native drivers, (Qualcomm Atheros AR3011 Bluetooth 3.0), this will be shown on the Devices and Printers window, and also on the new Win 10 Device settings/connected devices window.
In the case of using a Kinect v2 camera, you will probably use a USB 2.0 always anyway, and most likely the same port each time, but I don't know if you will.
This happens even on using a USB 2.0 port and trying to switch to another 2.0, it reverts on load back to Qualcomm Atheros AR3011 Bluetooth 3.0.
For the Moves to connect and pair again in iPi Recorder, (while plugged into this second port), I had to reinstall the drivers with the DS3 Tool for that port, which removed them from the prior port used and re-pair each Move again with the USB patch cable.
If I unplugged the cord, (but NOT re-loading drivers or pairing to the different port), and switched back to original port I loaded drivers and paired the Moves, it would come back as the MiJ Device, again showing in the Devices window, I didn't have to re-load drivers/re-pair anything.
I could load drivers and pair each Move to several USB 3.0 ports and several USB 2.0, (which I only have 2), at the same time and those ports would always register as MiJ adapter, I guess because of being run by 2 different USB controllers, then if switched between driver loaded ports, everything re-paired fine in iPi Recorder and worked fine.
So in my experience it does matter to have drivers loaded on individual ports, (either USB 2.0 or 3.0), after unplugging the BT adapter and plugging it back in, or reloading drivers and re-pairing each move will be necessary in any different port the dongle is plugged into, unless the MiJ drivers are loaded for more than 1 specific port.
Can you post if you experience the same, I am pretty sure it will.
Just a heads up to know this if anyone plans on switching the original port the BT dongle was in when drivers were loaded through MiJ and Moves paired at any point in time that uses Win 10, then looses connection to their once paired Moves and USB BT dongle.
